Golf swing Instruction is the first and best step you can take to improve your golf round scores. The difference between breaking 100 and not is knowing how to swing a golf club properly. The difference between 70 and 90 is golf swing mechanics. Refining your golf swing will help any golfer score lower regardless of what your current handicap is. This article is going to talk about some the steps to achieving a better golf swing.
First and foremost we want to talk about your posture. You want to start with your spine in a neutral position and bend from the hips, with feet shoulders width apart and a little bend in the knees. On the back swing you want to rotate the torso and set the lead wrist fully before you reach the top, creating a 90 degree angle between your lead forearm and the shaft. Furthermore, keep the lead elbow as straight as possible.
On the down swing the head of the club should lag behind everything else and allow the 90 degree forearm/shaft angle to increase, then unwind rapidly through the impact area. This will generate speed and power as you wind toward the point of impact. At impact make sure the shaft of the club is leaning forward toward the target and your weight should be on the outside of your lead foot and the inside of the trailing foot.
As you follow through your belt buckle should be facing the target at which you are aiming. The club will be behind your head and you should be balanced on your lead foot and the back foot balanced on its toe. These are the steps on how to swing a golf club but the key to mastering these steps is to practice, practice and then practice some more.
