If you are experiencing golf swing problems then here are a couple of simple golf swing tips to help you get the perfect golf swing. Most golf swing instructions will provide instruction on the fundamentals that golf needs to cover, however, when you are on the golf course many situations will spring up.
It is often quite challenging for a golfing novice to spot where their swing problems stem from so, if you reach that point where you cannot fathom out what needs tweaking, one thing to examine is your back shoulder. Some players have at tendency to dip their back shoulder towards the ground during the back swing. If you are one of those who do dip your back shoulder, this can cause numerous problems to your golf swing.
Your timing will be thrown way off for a start but when you swing your weight shift will also be improper, you will almost certainly have a poor follow through position and at the point of impact you will suffer from a distortion of your hand position. There is however good news, the solution to the problem is fairly easy.
The next time your are practicing, at the range if you are on grass or at your local golf club’s practice area, place a golf ball under your back foot. You need to ensure that the ball is half buried in the ground but directly beneath your heel. As it is awkward to put pressure on the back foot now, unwanted weight transfer will not take place and your back should problem will happen. Continual practice using this method will enable you to a natural swing without any weight shifting towards the back, thereby fixing a number of swing problems.
Another problem that many golfers experience is Swing Speed. Beginners have a tendency to believe that swing speed is the vital ingredient and one the skill that has to be perfected. While swing speed is important, to constantly go around the course attempting every shot with a very fast swing speed will; almost certainly ruin the round. I would add however, there is no such thing as the perfect swing speed. If you are swinging the club very fast and not really connecting with the ball cleanly, try to slow your swing down. Let the power of the club propel the ball and not your speed & strength. Practice at the range and then when your have perfected an improved swing you can start to increase your tempo but make it gradual.
