Golf, Beginners Basics and the Magic Move Of Golf

The popularity of golf has increased tremendously over the past forty five years, giving us champions like Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, and Tiger Woods, and world-renowned courses like Pinehurst, Augusta National and the Blue Monster at Doral.

Why has golf become so popular? Its the opportunity to be outside, to get a good whole body workout, network with friends or business colleagues at a leisurely pace, and to play a game that you can never perfect.

Your scorecard, over time, shows your improvement, which keeps you playing again and again.

Here is a very basic lesson in golf for the person who

has no clue about the game.

Golf is played on an eighteen-hole course; each hole has its “par”, which is the number of tee shots (drives), fairway shots, chips (short hits as you approach the green), and putts.

The par number is based on the length and difficulty of the hole. Pars range from 3 to 6. If you get the ball in the hole in five shots on a par five hole, you “made par.” If it took you six shots, its called a bogie, if you made it in four, its a birdie.

There are usually “hazards” of some sort on all the holes. Bodies of water, sand traps, and trees are strategically placed to make the hole more challenging. Beginner golfers should seek to find courses to play that are easier to play, with fewer hazards.

Each player keeps their own score, marking the number of total number of shots for each hole. At the end, each person adds their scores-the lowest number is the

winner.

It is important for beginner golfers to not take themselves too seriously. It takes a long time to get good at this game, even though the professionals make it look so easy. They use an old very simple to master tip which I am going to tell you about.

Most people take a lesson or two at the onset to try and develop a proper swing and help you get off to a good start.

The Magic Move of Golf is to me without doubt the best instruction you will ever receive to obtain a great swing and get your game off to a flying start. Its very simple to learn, but do not be put off by its simplicity, this simple Magic Move of Golf will give golfers of all abilities a swing routine that will stand you in good stead for years to come.

Remember that its just a game. Have fun and look at the big picture-your outside and your not at work!

Golf Ball Retriever: the Tool for Every Golfer

A golf ball retriever is a tool that every golfer should have to eliminate the need to bend and stoop to locate your ball. While a golf ball retriever is actually very simple, it is a tool that can make your golf game much more fun, much easier, cleaner, and simply more enjoyable. When those that are new to golfing hear of such a contraption they tend to snicker and wonder why in the world they would ever need a ball retriever. After just a few games most golfers have a new understanding and appreciation for the golf ball retriever.

A golf ball retriever is just that, it retrieves balls so that the golfer does not have to go into water, mud, or rocks to retrieve a miss-hit. Ball retrievers often come in very handy when you play on a course that has a lot of ponds, lakes, wooded areas, as well as rock gardens. Of course, you never intend to hit your ball into these areas, but every now and again it will happen and a golf ball retriever will make it a lot easier to get your ball without all of the climbing and stooping that is generally associated with locating ones ball. Because of your golf ball retriever youll find that you have to buy golf balls less often because you wont just write them off when they land in hard to reach areas.

There are a few different golf ball retrievers on the market. Two of the most well known are the IGOTCHA golf ball retriever and the Golden Retriever golf ball retriever. There are many other retrievers on the market, these two products are just known for their reliability as well as their durability. Because there are these great products as well as others on the market it can be difficult to ascertain which is right for you. The great thing is that all ball retrievers are relatively affordable, so you can go for one of the well-known products of something else on just about any budget.

The IGOTCHA golf ball retriever is also very popular and can be purchased for right around $30 as well. Like other retrievers the IGOTCHA comes in a variety of sizes ranging from 6-18 feet long allowing you to grab your ball with ease from any area. IGOTCHA can grab your golf ball from water, mud, rocks, and soggy areas of green after a rain so that your pants as well as your shoes can stay clean. IGOTCHA has cleverly come up with four different ball retrievers known as the Executive, the Executive XL, and the Biggest. IGOTCHA is definitely a quality product that many golfers can get a lot of use out of.

The Golden Retriever golf ball retriever will usually cost about $30 and will fit into or attach to golf bags with ease. Even though the Golden Retriever comes in 7, 12, and 18 foot the handle is telescopic so that you dont have to lug around a huge ball retriever from hole to whole during your game. This ball retriever can be fully immersed in water or mud should it happen to land in one of these things. The claw like handles will allow you to simply scoop up the ball with one hand and then drop the ball into the other. Because the handle is telescopic you can reach a ball that is in the middle of the pond.

A golf ball retriever is a tool that every golfer should have. If the golfer in your life doesnt already have one, a retriever makes a great fathers day, birthday, mothers day, or Christmas gift.

PING G15 Irons

The long awaited PING G15 Irons have finally come out and golfers all around the world are breathless about the new set of clubs. PING has been one of the top golf club brands for the past fifty years. Due to their constant efforts to innovate the way golf clubs are made, professional golfers and casual golfers both love purchasing and using their clubs.

This set of irons was designed with medium to high handicap golfers in mind. If you want to hit your golf balls high into the air and make them fly straight towards your desired target, this is the set of irons for you. Those who have been privileged with the opportunity to test the clubs all attest to its excellent performance. But, what makes all this possible for the G15 Irons?

First of all, the Ping G15 iron face is thinner than previous iron models allowing for substantial weight to be added to the toe of the club this weight redistribution produces a higher MOI which is obviously the name of the game when it comes to forgiveness on off-centre hits.

The face of each iron is thinner than ever before making the club seven grams lighter. Meanwhile, the center of gravity of the irons has been moved closer to the clubs head. This concentration of weight at the bottom of the clubs has resulted in increased moment of inertia, higher shot trajectory, and less ball spin..

The sole of the G15 is slightly wider in design which also helps to pull the CG lower and deeper which helps the golfer to get the ball in the air.

Another innovation is how the custom tuning port was moved further away from the face of the clubs head. Now, you can execute more stable shots with better distance control. This makes each golf shot you make more accurate and less likely to veer left or right, unless you really meant for these to do so.

A redesigned full cavity graphics badge at the clubs face makes your golf swing more comfortable. It gives your swing a better and more solid sound as well. If you have tried using the bestselling PING G10 Irons in the past then you will be glad to know that the G15 performs and looks much better than its predecessor.

Golf Tips For The Beginner

Golfing success begins with mastering the golf basics, you may not need golf instructors for your golf basics, but you may want them for various reasons. Good golf instructors may help you do just that with good golf tips on golf basics and golf fundamentals. If you play golf with enthusiasm and an open mind, the golf basics you pick up, whether they are from books, videos, or tips from friends, will fall into place without your conscious awareness.

Playing golf is a reflection of intelligence, while learning golf basics is only intellectual. Make a list of all your goals with respect to every aspect of golf basics and golf fundamentals you wish to improve, while believing they are achievable.

Golf Swing Tips

The goal of club manufacturers is to create golf clubs, within the rules of golf, that maximize the physics of the golf swing while allowing for a range of swing error to provide an accurate, long, yet forgiving shot. The smaller the arc of the swing, the less speed the golf club will have when it strikes the ball and the less distance the ball will travel.

If while you are playing and your ball is lying in a bunker or a water hazard, you should not in any way touch the ground of the bunker or the water before you do your downswing. In order to build a good golf swing, one that will stand the test of time and grow, you must first build a solid foundation.

Much in the same way a foundation supports a house, a fundamentally correct grip, posture, stance, alignment and ball position support your swing. Make your swing become second nature to you, such that you can focus on your target, not your swing. Jack Nicklaus is a great believer in a simple and natural swing.

You swing to your target without undue concern of how to hit the ball exactly right and should always be natural and spontaneous, just like you type on the keyboard without looking. Just let yourself swing freely, trusting that you have made the right choice of clubs and shot.

One of the biggest challenges for beginning golfers and an area of constant attention for low handicap golfers as well as professionals is consistency in their swing. For someone just beginning to learn and apply the mechanics of the golf swing, one of the most important concepts to get on the right track with is to learn that the golf swing is a rotation of the shoulders and the hips not the forearms and hands.

In short, when learning the basic golf swing, learn to turn. This allows your left shoulder to pass slightly under your chin, for right handed golfers.

Golf Ball Trivia

Balls will roll more true on bent grasses and the break will be caused by the slope of the land. Some golfers use the same type and brand of golf ball, if in case your ball is placed among these bunch, you will have difficulty knowing which is which. As you address your ball and look down, you should only see two knuckles of your left hand.

Two piece golf balls are the best for most golfers, because they give the player maximum distance with the least amount of curvature, so the player can keep the ball in play. To better align yourself at your target, always line the club face with the ball at your target before taking your stance, picking a point along the target line at which to aim the club and ball.

To get the advantage of maximum distance and a ball with a high spin rate and soft feel, try one of the new or double cover balls like Top Flite Strata or Maxfli Revolution. A focused body and mind enable your eyes to signal you where the ball needs to go. You hit the ball only when you are focused at that right moment, not while you are being distracted.

Get A Grip

You can test out different types of clubs, determine which club length is best for you, get to know the different types of grips available and learn the difference between graphite and steel shafts. Grip the club with your fingers rather than your hands. A golf club has three components, the head, the shaft and the grip.

The position of your club face is greatly influenced by your grip. Stop trying to correct your golf swing by constantly hitting ball after ball trying to make every physical adjustment known to man within your golf swing itself and begin by using a fundamentally sound grip.

The Importance of Balance on your Golf Swing

Mastering the art of the golf swing could be complicated and challenging, and you are most probably trying to improve yours. There are a couple of very simple errors in balance that most people make but can easily be avoided. Here are two simple tips on improving your balance and golf swing, as well as correct the basic slip-ups that you could be doing.

1. A Good Setup, A Good Balance, A Good Swing

A good tip for improving your golf swing would be improving your setup. A lot of golfers do not have a good balance because they started off from a bad setup. If you have a good and solid setup, you would be able to keep balanced as you swing. Maintaining your balance would give you a solid swing plane as well as a good pivot. Make sure keep your whole body under control during your setup so you could improve your balance and swing.

2. Swinging Too Hard

Although having great distance is essential, having perfect control of your swing is equally important. What usually happens is since you want distance, you give your all you can when you swing. This causes you to wheel around and lose your balance, as you swing too hard. What you would need to do is trust your club. It is already designed to send the ball to great lengths so you would need to focus on making your swing as solid, as steady and as balanced as possible to stay in the fairway.
